Staff are first class foundry MRT Castings celebrates after winning Queen’s Award for International Trade For the Queen’s 90th birthday.

Overseas trade now accounts for 56 percent of business at the aluminum die caster last year recorded a turnover of £ 7.2 million.
The company casts and machines Hampshire complex engineering components for original equipment manufacturers worldwide. The main markets in the medical sector, aerospace and defense.
Many of the components made by MRT is life-critical or safety-critical, requiring the highest levels of engineering expertise.
Phil Rawnson Managing Director said: “We are pleased that we received the great honor – especially in 90 Queen’s birthday.
“Our turnover grew by 70 per cent last year, challenging and exciting. It is great to share this award with our employees’ skill and dedication by our recent success,” he said.
The company has grown its team and also invested heavily in new technology to help drive production. It now has four high-tech pressure casting machines and 21 state of the art CNC machining centers.
Queen’s Award is the latest and most prominent in a string of recent accolades for MRT.
Last November the company won the Achievement Award Cast Metals Federation Company for its outstanding growth, investment and diversification into new markets.
Came just two weeks after winning Outstanding Export Award MRT EEF South.
MRT was established in 1947 and is based in Andover since 1965. It provides customer-service end-to-end complete manufacturing. His solutions include design, tooling, casting, machining and finishing.
The company can also assemble, store and ship products directly to customers of their clients – complete outsourced service and seamless. Among the destinations of its products export to Ireland, Germany, France, Poland, Hungary and the USA.
